Oct 1 — National Banana Pudding Festival

Bananapudding
Sponsored by Greg Johnson

You say you’ve got a hankerin for some good old banana puddin’ but there is none to be had??

You are in luck because Greg Johnson is leading a drive to Centerville, TN., for the finals of the 2022 National Banana Pudding Festival! on Saturday, October 1st (just a few weeks away).

We’ll meet for breakfast at the Cracker Barrel Old Country Store in Franklin (where else) at 4210 Franklin Commons Ct, Franklin, TN 37067. Let’s meet at 8:00 am for breakfast and depart around 9:00 am for Centerville and the goodies.

Our drive will take about an hour and get us there by 10:00 or so. The festival starts at 9 and runs till 6 but members will be making your way home on your own when and as you please.

After free parking you can then walk over to admissions which is $10 per head (cheap at thrice the price!) and then head for the big tent, The Puddin Path, where, for another $8 you will get a box which will hold samples of the various entrants.  You then stroll thru the tent picking up samples as you go.  Eat them all and vote for your favorite by placing a dollar in a fishbowl with the chef’s name on it (or not).

There will be food and souvenir trucks so you shouldn’t go hungry!  There will also be two stages with live music being performed. There’ll also be another big tent with tables and chairs underneath it so you can eat and listen to the music.  It may be a hot/cold/wet day so dress accordingly.

Either way, it promises to be a “sweet” ride and a wonderful Fall afternoon with friends. Plan to join us. RVSP to Greg at greg@gregconnected.com and be sure to include your email address & cell phone number.

Ya’ll come and taste the sweetness, have a say in who is deemed “Best” — and support some good causes in the process.
