Who doesn’t like curves (now I mean roads that is…)? On April 17th we’ll be driving them on our way to Sewanee, TN, for lunch.
Of course, we will start at the Cracker Barrel on I-24 at exit 81A (2115 S Church St, Murfreesboro) at 9:00 am, drivers meeting at 9:15 and promptly leave at 9:30. Please make sure your car is full, your bladder is empty, you have your radio on and whatever else you need. As this is a fairly short trip (~90 miles) and should only take about 2 hours we will not be stopping for a break.
We will take the back roads from Murfreesboro, down Hwy 41A, to Hwy 127, to Hwy 108, to Hwy 50 and back to 41A through Monteagle and on to Sewanee on 41A.
When we arrive at Sewanee, there we will eat at Shenanigans, 12595 Sollace M Freeman Hwy, for lunch. We should arrive around noon. The restaurant has a wide variety of food and you can eat outside or inside.
After lunch, we’ll travel to our last curvy road, Roarks Cove Rd., which will take us to Hwy 64 and then to I-24 back to Nashville. Please join us for a long and winding road, trip (Beatles pun intended) and fun. Who doesn’t like curves!
To sign up, please email Mike Yarber at mly1971@gmail.com and please include your phone number and how many are in your party for lunch reservations.
RSVP Deadline is April 10.
