Fall Foliage along the Bourbon Trail – Bardstown, Kentucky
You don’t have to like bourbon to enjoy the fall foliage and scenic driving of Kentucky’s Bourbon Trail. There’s a lot of great history to see in the distillery properties. We will spend two nights in Bardstown at the Hampton Inn as our home base for driving the Bourbon Trail between distilleries like Maker’s Mark, Wild Turkey, and Woodford Reserve. With any luck from the weather, we’ll have a beautiful fall foliage experience as we drive the backroads of Kentucky.
Our event will start at the Lebanon Cracker Barrel, 635 S Cumberland St, meet at 8:00 AM, depart at 8:30 AM Friday morning and take a variety of non-expressway roads to Maker’s Mark in Loretto, KY. Afterwards, we’ll make our way to lunch and then to hotel check-in.
We don’t have a block of rooms reserved at the Bardstown Hampton Inn this year, so you will need to just make your reservation without referencing our group. You can make your reservation online at www.hamptoninn.com for two nights, Friday and Saturday, October 18 & 19. Or you can call the hotel at 502-349-0100 (you will be sent to their central reservation group). If you are unable to reserve a room at the Hampton Inn, there is a fairly new Holiday Inn nearby.
RSVP to Chuck and Deb Wright at wrightwaywellness@gmail.com with your cell phone number when you make your hotel reservation. It will help with trip planning to know who and how many are going with us.
We recommend that you make your reservation within the next month since Bardstown is a very popular destination for a variety of events in the Fall.
We’re excited about this event for our club of Zoomers!
