Well … all three ladies can’t fit in your two-seater, but let’s put the top down and flirt with them one a
t a time as we take the backroads – Miata Roads – to scenic West Tennessee and the Land Between the Lakes National Park. We’ll dance with Miss Charlotte around the Historic Charlotte, Tennessee Courthouse Square, then jig with Erin through that Lucky Irish Town, and finally promenade with Patti at Patti’s 1880’s Settlement House for lunch, site seeing and shopping.
We’ll meet at 10 am at the Cracker Barrel in West Nashville at I-40 West, Exit 201 and depart by 10:30 am for a leisurely drive down Highway 70 West and country roads. A few breaks along the way, and scenic drives along the rivers and lakes will bring us to Grand River, Kentucky and its waterfront on Kentucky Lake.
We’ll land at Patti’s, where one courageous woman transformed her love for cooking and family into an award-winning business that serves over one million dollars in pork chops every year–all in the town of approximately 350 people. She promises good food, local history, simpler times, beautiful gardens, a day on the lake, a lazy afternoon with comfortable conversation and friendly, smiling faces.
