The Music City Miata Club is organizing members to participate in the Tennessee Region SCCA Autocross events for the 2021 calendar year. The fourth Points Event is scheduled for Saturday June 26th at Twin Fountains Raceway in Bell Buckle TN.

Twin Fountains is a great venue for a first time Autocross driver as the course design follows the go cart track and there are fewer cones to navigate. If you’re wondering if you would enjoy Autocross racing, this would be the perfect time to get your feet wet.

The Event costs $40 for SCCA Members and $45 for Non-SCCA Members and takes place on a closed go cart track with no more than 2 cars on the track (separated by approximately 30 seconds) at a time. The course is laid out with orange traffic cones and the setup is unique for each event. The focus is on friendly competition and not speed – most of the course is spent in 1st and 2nd gear in a Miata.

To participate, register online with the TRSCCA (link provided to those attending) and then bring your Miata, Snell 2005 or later certified helmet, a lunch and plenty of non-alcoholic refreshments and join us for a great time with our Miata’s in their natural habitat.

We will meet up at the Smyrna Cracker Barrel (2697 Highwood Blvd, Smyrna, TN 37167, I-24 Exit 66A) at 6:45 AM for a drivers meeting and will leave promptly at 7 AM. For those who are coming across I-840, we will briefly stop at the Mapco Express (2430 S Church St, Murfreesboro, TN 37127, I-24 Exit 81A) at 7:15 AM so you can join the group for the last leg to Twin Fountains. Spectators are allowed but are required to sign a waiver to attend.

As you will be signing waivers to participate, DO CHECK with your insurance agent as some policies do not cover damage to your car, liability and/or personal injury at or on a race track.
