The Music City Miata Club board, in keeping with the best interest of our members, is watching the progress of the covid-19 pandemic. Tennessee is doing much better than many other states and some progress is being made to returning to normal. Unfortunately, we are not there today.
The board has extended our shutdown of events for another two weeks, till the middle of May. We will reevaluate at that time and provide another update of future plans.
Club events are dependent on having places to go and places to eat. Meals together are a significant part of our events. The comment, “we just drive between restaurants” is not far wrong. The general economy must rebound before club events can rebound.
The Miata Club is basically a car club designed to provide the maximum enjoyment of our fun little cars. That said, many of our members have grown in friendships to view the club as an extended family. We all wish our members are doing well and getting through this shutdown as best as we can. If however you find yourself or your family in distress and need help, please let a board member know or reply to this email.
We are all in this together, and we will be back in our Miata’s zooming over some backroads soon.
