We all love our Miata’s over any other motor vehicle. I may be a bit one sided on this. After all we are Miata Club Members. This does not mean we can’t enjoy other cars from time to time. It has been a while but another visit to the Lane Motor Museum is in order.

For those of us that have been to the museum before will remember the wide range of motor power that they house. Many in original condition and many more restored to their glory days. We can totally immerse ourselves in history of all makes and models of 4 wheeled vehicles. They may not hold the same place in our hearts as our own Miata’s but we can enjoy the assembly of great motor vehicles without our “most favorite” auto getting too jealous.Lane3

We will meet at the Lane Auto Museum located at 702 Murfreesboro Pike in Nashville at 10:00 AM. As a group of 15 or more we get the discounted group price of $6.00 per person. This is down from the regular cost of $12 normal admission. We have to pay as a group so please bring a check made out to the Music City Miata Club for $6 per person or bring the cash.

In addition to all the other attractions we will also be able to enjoy two special presentations. The “20th Anniversary Lane Museum Display” and the “Showcase of Competition Cars”. But hold on there is still more. Starting at 11:00 there will be some free demonstrations. The staff will be revving up a propeller powered car and an electric car. I don’t think this is a Tesla, but it will be fun to find out.

Want even more fun? For an additional $10.00 per person, you can sign up for a guided tour of the “Vault”. Not quite sure of what is in there, but it should be interesting. You will need to reserve your space early for this 30-to-40-minute side trip. Sign up with and pay the museum early upon your arrival as space is limited.

To decompress after strolling past so many vehicles what would be better than some great pub food. We will need to depart the museum by 12:45 to make the .8-mile trip to The Lost Paddy Irish Pub at 715 Spencer Lane, We have 1:00 PM reservations. The pub has a wide selection of food and beverage to fill any appetite.130cc3ba-9863-c3dc-8935-bd3c3687dc2a
