May 20 — A Day with “The Pirates”

Pirates1   Sponsored by: Gregory Johnson

ARR Matey!

Yes, we have pirates here in Tennessee, well for a weekend or two anyway, and it’s time to get your pirate on. Get out that eye patch, dust off the shoulder parrot and see if that big 3-pointy hat with the feathers still fits. For a day, let’s go play pirates.

Of course, you don’t have to dress up to come but wouldn’t it be more fun if you did? The club is off to Harriman in east Tennessee for the Annual Pirate Fest. There will be 7 stages of entertainment, 50+ exhibitors and several food booths. We will be enjoying the music, beer pub tent, costume contest, games, gong show, pirate Olympics and the trail of doom. Sounds like a full day of fun.Pirates2

We will start, where else, but at the Cracker Barrel in Mt. Juliet, 350 S. Mt. Juliet Rd. Drivers meeting at 8:30 am with the drive out starting at 9:00 am. Come earlier if you will be doing breakfast at the Barrel. Have a full tummy, an empty bladder and a full tank of gas. We will be on the road for about 2 ½ hours with one potty stop before we get to the festival. Most of our trip will not be on the super slab but no real back roads either. We’ll hit the food booths around noon to refill those tummies.

Admission for the day is $20 and bring a bit extra as there are no ATM’s. After all these machines weren’t around in the real pirate days either. As I am sure we will all be heading in different directions when we get there, you can stay up to 6:00 pm and then make you way back at your pleasure. If you take I40 for your return trip it is about a 2-hour drive back to Mt. Juliet.

If I can get 10 confirmed to go, we can get a $2 discount but this must be done on line and in advance so RSVP early to score the discount. Please confirm your attendance to me at Greg@GregConnected.com or call me at 615-714-4530.

Let’s have a great day of sunshine, Miata’s on the road and some unique experiences. Pirates3
